Women-only golf clinics in the mornings (and afternoons)…

Understanding how the game of golf is played, knowing the rules and proper etiquette, and being able to use the proper terminology are all important aspects to aspiring female golfers.  Once these items are conquered, women usually ask the question: how do I know if I’m ready to play with other golfers on the golf course?  Here are some guidelines from the publication “Golf For Women”:

  • Be able to hit the ball about 100 yards off the tee
  • Be able to hit a middle iron (or hybrid) at least 75 yards on the fairway
  • Hit out of a bunker successfully two out of three times
  • Know how to reach a green when you are 50 yards from the flagstick
  • Take only one practice swing
  • Three-putt or less on most greens
  • Know proper green etiquette, and
  • Know when to give up and put the ball in your pocket

Equally as important, according to recent studies, is having the ability to play and network with other women.  Forming relationships at the golf course is the single biggest reason women take up and continue playing the game of golf.   Where can you achieve both goals?  Read on…

“Ladies Morning Out” Clinic

If you are interested in playing the game of golf for the first time or you are struggling with one or more of the items above, come and join us for a total of 8 hours of personalized instruction in the following areas:  putting, chipping, bunkers, pitch shots, irons and wood play.  We’ll discuss some of the more important rules of golf, proper etiquette, and just about anything golf related you would like to talk about.  We even go out on one of our two great courses to play during the last session!!   Best of all, you’ll meet other women you can ultimately join on the golf course.  (And don’t worry, we’ll provide clubs if you don’t have them.)  The cost: $249 for 8 hours of instruction.  Contact PGA Certified Golf Professional John Trujillo by e-mail or at 719-963-0327 to sign up today.
