About John
Experience you can count on…
John Trujillo has a combined 35 years in the business of teaching, including 20 years experience as a golf instructor. John earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, taught several engineering and mathematics courses as an Assistant Professor at both the Air Force Academy and USC, and served as an Officer in the United States Air Force. Since 1993, John has lived in Colorado Springs and has been at Eisenhower Golf Club, first as a golf member and now as PGA Teaching Professional.
In 2006, John completed an accelerated Professional Golf Management program offered by the PGA of America for exceptional individuals who show outstanding potential in the field of golf. In 2008, he became a PGA Class A Professional, and most recently, John became a PGA Certified Golf Professional in Instruction, an honor reserved for less than 1% of all PGA golf professionals. In 2011, John earned the distinction of becoming a TPI Certified Golf Fitness Instructor. John gives back to the game of golf as a long-time volunteer for the Eisenhower Junior Golf Camp and other golf programs in and around the Colorado Springs area.
In his 20 seasons providing expert instruction to over 5.000 golf students at the United States Air Force Academy, John has displayed a rare talent to educate and get proven results from his students regardless of their skill level.
