Course Management
A score is posted on the course, not the practice tee…
There are many factors that can help you lower your golf scores and reduce your handicap. Practicing your short game is certainly one of them. However, equally as important is your “course management”, or simply, how you manage the course you’re playing on the day you are playing it. Many golfers overlook “strategy” and spend the majority of their time trying to develop the perfect swing or stroke. Course management is also a big part of the “mental “game that we hear a lot about from analysts and professionals alike.
How can you get better at managing the course, and thus, lower your scores? Having a flexible game plan for each hole, before stepping up to the tee box, is a good first start. Is it windy, wet, or hot outside? Where are the hazards? Do I have that shot in my bag? What’s a good score for me on this hole? Answers to these questions and others are all essential to good course management.
Course Management Clinic
Are you tired of not being able to replicate your practice sessions on the golf course? The Golf Course Management clinic consists of two practice sessions followed by two on-course experiences to help you “prepare for playing”. The two practice sessions focus on drills to help prepare for the course, while the on-course sessions address topics such as uneven lies, proper club selection, recovery shots, and reading greens at Eisenhower Golf Club. The cost of $249 includes range balls, greens fee, and cart.
